Press Release - Fifteen years ago, in May 2011, the International Uranium Film Festival (IUFF) was held for the first time in Rio de Janeiro and quickly gained worldwide recognition. Now, the film festival, dedicated to the atomic age, kicks off its international tour this April in Chicago. It coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. From Friday, April 24, to Sunday, April 26, the IUFF, in cooperation with the Nuclear Energy Information Service (NEIS) will screen 16 films about nuclear disasters, contamination, and nuclear weapons at Chicago's DePaul University, Lincoln Park Campus,.
