RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Sao Paulo have signed forward Erison Souza on a season-long loan, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old will be tied to the six-time Brazilian Serie A champions until December 31 in a deal that includes a purchase option.
Sao Paulo confirmed the agreement with a short message and a video of Erison's career highlights on the club's social media account.
Erison, who is contracted to Botafogo until December 2025, last month completed a six-month loan with Portuguese top-flight side Estoril Praia, with whom he scored four goals in 15 appearances.
He is Sao Paulo's ninth new signing for 2023 following the arrivals of Pedrinho, Wellington Rato, Rafael, Marcos Paulo, Alan Franco, Jhegson Mendez, David Fonseca and Caio Paulista.
