KUWAIT CITY, May 16 (Xinhua) -- The FIFA World Cup trophy landed in Kuwait on Monday in the third stop of its tour, before the start of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup in November.

Accompanied by the former Brazilian national team star Gilberto Silva, the World Cup trophy was received by the Kuwait Football Association (KFA) President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, General Secretary Salah Al-Qenaei and other officials.

Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met with the FIFA delegation on Monday.
