RIO DE JANEIRO, July 31 (Xinhua) -- A stunning second-half goal from Brazil Under-20 attacker Bruno Praxedes fired Bragantino to a 1-0 home win over Gremio in the Brazilian Serie A championship on Saturday.
The 19-year-old took a touch to control a Leo Ortiz pass before rifling a 25-yard drive into the top-right corner of Gabriel Grando's goal.
It was Bragantino's first league victory in five outings dating back to July 4.
Despite their recent malaise, Mauricio Barbieri's men remain fourth in the 20-team standings, five points behind leaders Palmeiras, while Gremio are 19th with just seven points from 12 games.
In other Brazilian top-flight fixtures on Saturday, Cuiaba drew 0-0 at Internacional and Sao Paulo were also held to a goalless home draw by Palmeiras.
