Frank Sinatra's son, Frank Sinatra Jr. has launched a country-wide search in Brazil to find the boy who was supported by his late father in the 1980s.

Sinatra Jr. has taken out a full-page advertisement in Brazilian newspaper Rio O Dia to search for the now grown-up male identified as Carlos Henrique dos Santos, reports Contactmusic.com.

Sinatra met dos Santos in 1980 when he performed in Brazil and asked to see the child he had been sponsoring $19 a month via a charity, which helped kids in developing countries.

The youngster sent Sinatra frequent letters, telling him of his everyday life and his dream to own a bicycle that was fulfilled by the late singer.

The pair lost touch and Frank Sinatra Jr. wants to make it up to dos Santos, who he said would be 'around 40', by inviting him to join him on his current Brazilian tour.
